Lord above! The PSP 3000 has barely breathed it’s first breath and already there’s talk of a PSP2! (I thought the PSP 3000 was the ‘PSP2′?)

Scouring our online news sources, PSPStockOnline.com have learnt that Sony have signed a deal with Technologies Group Plc. This company is the licensor of graphic processor units (GPU’s), and their latest technology is the PowerVR SGX.

What this means is that when Sony have an upgrade, this company will be providing the GPU. You might not have heard of the company, but if you use an Apple iPhone another of their GPU’s – the PowerVR MBX – is used in that.

Interesting eh?

But let’s not digress… another PSP? We’ll keep you posted.

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that according to PlayStation.blog, the 4GB Memory Entertainment Pack is no more.

The PSP 3000 is already doing brisk business over in Japan. The console has sold a reported 141,270 units since the console went on sale last week.

There has been some great news for Sony as it has been announced that the PSP is currently the top hand held console in Japan so far this year.

The game that the Official PS mag has just awarded a glorious 10/10 could be making it’s way onto the PSP according to hints by game creator Media Molecule.

With 34 million consoles sold worldwide coupled with the fact that they are all ‘connected’  Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley has informed MTV Multi-player that the possibilities of the PSP as a platform for Massively Multi-player Online Games is something they are looking at developing in the not so distant future.

Great News for all you Snowboarding fans out there!
It has come to our attention that the highly anticipated ‘Shaun White Snowboarding’ title is also coming to the PSP.

It’s not exactly the same as when your club is in the draw for the later stages of the European Cup, but even so fans of several European football clubs will be happy to learn that their heroes will appear, fully licensed, in the upcoming PES 2009.
