What Memory Device Does The PSP Use?

The PSP uses Sony’s memory stick format, these are compact rewritable Flash ROM cards which are roughly the size of a stick of chewing gum.

It runs along the same principle as the Memory Cards you may have used for the PlayStation One and 2, basically game saves, user created data, downloads and music can all be stored on these cards.

The specific format supported by the PSP is the Memory Stick PRO Duo; there is plenty of different brands and sizes (1GB-16GB etc) available aside from the official SONY PRO DUO take a look at the Accessories section for a quick selection.
