What’s In The Box?
The PSP offers the hardcore gamer what they’ve always dreamed of, the opportunity to play on the move!
What the iPod is to the music nut so the PSP is to the Playstation fanatic.
There are now several different packages on the market and it always pays to shop around to find the best deal, but here’s a quick guide to what’s included in the popular base pack and value pack editions.
BASE PACK
CONSOLE
The Playstation portable (PSP) measures 17 x 7.3 x 2.2 cm and weighs just 9.88 ounces (280g), but don’t be fooled by the size, like a featherweight prize fighter the PSP packs one hell of a punch.
The consoles now come in a wide selection of colours ranging from the classic “Piano Black” to “Pink” , a whole range of limited edition colours are available too along with any number of skins which allow you to customize your PSP.
BATTERY
The PSP is powered by a rechargeable lithium – ion battery, this battery provides somewhere in the region of 4-6 hours of game play.
AC ADAPTOR
Don’t want to run your battery down?
Then hook your PSP directly into the mains for hours of PSP action. Alternatively take time out (if you can!) and allow the battery to recharge.
VALUE PACK
The value pack includes everything featured in the base pack but also includes these additional extras…………..
32MB MEMORY STICK PRO DUO
As your game library increases you’ll want to save information on a memory stick, the 32MB device is included here, although with features such as premier league highlights soon being available for download you may wish to upgrade.
HEADPHONES WITH REMOTE CONTROL
The PSP boasts stereo sound which is both rich and deep, this not only enhances your gaming experience, but is essential when taking advantage of the consoles MP3 capability, listen to your favourite tracks via your PSP using the supplied headphones.
CARRYING POUCH
One of the early concerns regarding the PSP was the amount of smudges and marks which it seemed to attract through usage – minimize the risk of damage with the carrying pouch.
WRIST STRAP
Keep your PSP out of harm’s way with the supplied wrist strap, it sounds simple but it eliminates the risk of serious damage (i.e. dropping it) think of it as the PSP’s version of a seatbelt.
