The new improved PSP Slim and Lite goes under the name PSP 3000. Yeah that’s right, he’s too cool for this century – he’s ahead of his time, he’s so advanced that he’s from the year ‘3000′, he’s so- (that’s enough! And who said it was a he in the first place?)  Anyhow, you get the message. In short: It’s everything the PSP slim is, just improved.

Do you really need it? If you want to upgrade your Slim and Lite which is working perfectly fine, we would say go and spend your money on new games instead. BUT if this is your first foray into the PSP world – we would say go for this version.

However there may be an advantage in going with the previous model, and that is the price you may get it for. Sony are phasing out the Slim and Lites which invariably means a better bargain for you guys. Check the stock locators for both models and see what you think.
